I don't know how I feel about my required novels...
One is The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, the other is Grendel by John Gardner. The former is just over 100 pages, the latter is under 180.
In high school, those wouldn’t even fly with any of my teachers. All the books we read had to be at least 300 pages.
Now I’m in a college lit class and I could easily finish either of these books in a day.
Maybe I should be thankful...
